"In all things give thanks…" (I Thessalonians 5:18).
At a time when most of us are enjoying a day of family, friends, food and fun, I hope you are reflecting on things for which you are thankful. This my list of the top five things for which I am thankful.
#5 – Good Health
In 2016, I spent nearly two weeks in the hospital and with three more weeks in recovery. I am thankful that my health has return, and I am feeling stronger every day.
#4 – Theological Education
This is my last full year as a student at Columbia Theological Seminary. It has been an amazing journey for which I am extremely thankful. I have learned from world class faculty, dedicated staff and outstanding classmates.
#3 – Hall Chapel and Mitchell Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Churches
Few things that I have done has been as rewarding as pastoring these churches. I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve God’s people.
#2 – Family
Happy was the day that my son and his family moved from Michigan to Georgia. I am so thankful that they are near. I am so blessed to have a front row seat to see Nina, Elisha, Rosie and Noa grow up.
#1 – God
Oh, what a mighty God we serve! I am thankful to serve the Lord every day and in every way. The growth of this ministry now includes blogs, a more powerful website www.marbenbland.com and the new podcast the Marben Bland Show.
